DIGGING JIM REMAKE
Game Type: Grid-based arcade game
Game Engine: GameMaker Studio
Download:
This is a fan re-make of Persei Entertainment's Digging Jim. The original game, being designed for Windows 98/XP systems, does not run well on modern operating systems. Digging Jim was one of my first games as a child, and with the absence of a modern operating system to play it on I decided to build it from scratch instead.

Features
-All features of the original game
-Working menu, 60FPS gameplay, score, lives, multiple levels
-2D grid based system for movement and collision checking
-Colour-shift shader (written in GLSL:ES)
-Level editor in which you can build, personalise and play your own levels
-Legacy .cav file parser (play levels made in the original game)
-A 'level wrap' system not present in the original game.

This game stands as one of my proudest achievements, you can see a comparison video between the original game and my re-made game below:
